Welcome to the website of the Shelby County United Way. This is our 51st year of serving the citizens, organizations, and companies of Shelby County. Over this period of time the needs and issues in our community have changed but the volunteers, staff and Board of Trustees continue to be committed in making a positive impact for all of our citizens’ quality of life. Our theme this year is, “Building Communities – Connecting Lives.” Our vision is to “identify, evaluate, and make possible the human services in our community,” and our mission statement is to “lead collaborative efforts in building a better community.”
Today the Shelby County United Way collaborates and funds many nonprofit agencies and organizations in the community. These agencies serve people of all ages, from the youngest to the oldest in the impact areas of Investing in Children and Youth, Strengthening Families and Individuals, Promoting Health and Well Being, Enriching the Lives of Seniors, and Caring for People in Crisis.

The 2007 Campaign has been completed. This year's Campaign Chair, Mr Frank Gilardi, led us to another very successful campaign. His division leaders and their many, many wondeful volunteers worked hard to again reach goal.
